Owl Be Seeing You...

Well, friends, this is my last post here at 2 Cute Rubber Stamps. I've really enjoyed my time here with you all. Heidi is wonderful and her designs are so adorable. Each of the DT members are extremely talented and very supportive. Sammye Jo and I worked together prior to this and all I can say about Sammye Jo is that she is one of the sweetest, most dedicated crafty friends a girl could have. Her chipper demeanor and her love of this craft make working with her a joy. I wish all of them the very best in all things to come and much success for the blog and Heidi's creations.

Have a Great Day

Good morning everyone,
I hope your Monday is starting off well. I made this card using one of Heidi's new digital stamps, and he is adorable.

I colored him in with my Copic markers, and then for the embellishments, I used Tim Holtz's grundboard pieces, then inked them up and painted them with Tim's Crackle Distress Paint. Because the cracks were so fine, I inked the flowers with Vintage Photo in order to bring out the cracks.
For the buttons, I used the clear ones from Hero Arts and then backed them with the same paper that I used for the accent piece, this way, all my buttons co-ordinate!Please enjoy and take care - Jodie

Bee-Utiful Day!

Its a beautiful day here in Ohio, warm, soon to be hot, but we've got a wonderful breeze and blues skies. If you lived in Ohio, you'd understand the beautiful blue sky comment...our skies are gray 85% of the time around here. BLAH!

So, I decided to BEE-UTIFY my card for the day with a special little guy that really makes me smile. One, because he is so darn cute. Two, because my grandfather (who I miss dearly) was a bee keeper. I'm so glad Heidi created this image, I really think he is a favorite right now and one that I'll use many, many times.

I really wish that I had more light on the porch...you can't see how pretty the glittered embossing powder looks at the bottom edge of the card. Oh, and a note to all of you crafters out there...silver, is not a suitable replacement for your opaque white pens, as you can see on my little bee's wings and other highlights. UGH! Well, live and learn, right? Either way I think it is super cute and I hope you pay a visit to this link: HERE so that you can pick up one of Heidi's super cute images.
You will be delighted that you did.

Mermaid Happy Birthday

Hi everyone! We made it to Wednesday! Woohoo! Today I'm sharing a card I made using the Mermaid and Friends digi! This is easily one of my favorite digis! I just love all the cute little critters! I made this card using a sheet of Clear Craft plastic. I wanted it to look like it was really underwater. Then to create "water" I glued torn pieces of tissue paper to the clear plastic as a background. Then the fun part I colored with my amazing copics and cut out the stamp. The bottom of my easel card is colored to match my dirt while the sentiment was stamped on tissue paper and glued to the bottom. I used pearls in place of all the bubbles! Happy Wednesday!

Special Feature: Debbie

Last week while checking out a few blogs for inspiration, I found this little cutie created by Debbie. I thought she did a wonderful job using our little Hula Hoop Hamster.  I love seeing different ways to use images and this card caught my eye because Debbie made this for a friend who recently moved into a new home.  I love seeing different ways to use images.

The DT girls and I love seeing 2 Cute images out there in blogland.   If you have a card or project where you have used a 2 Cute image, please attach a link to your blog in the comment section below.  We promise to come check it out.  You just might be the next Spotlight Special Feature.

See you next week!!

Dream...

Good morning everybody,
I hope your week is starting off well, and because it’s Monday, it’s time for another creative endeavour from yours truly, Jodie.
Heidi has recently been releasing adorable new digital stamps, so I've been lucky enough to play with them recently...

Beatrice was colored in with Copic markers, B02,RV29,V09,V15,Y08,Y17. I also used the Copic Airbrush System to add a touch of color to the backgrounds, and then blinged her up with Dewdrops, Prima flowers and Washi print paper. Don't forget to check out Heidi's Digital Shop to get your very own Beatrice.
Have a great day!

Howdy, Howdy, Howdy!

It's Wednesday again! Woohoo! I'm so excited to share my card this week! I was definately inspired by Toy Story this week! My boys have fallen in love with the wonderful characters, and so have I! So I loved working with the Cowboy Kid digi! I colored the image 4 times with my copics and cut them out to place them on a clean background. All paper was from DCWV "the man stack" For more information, pop on over to my blog. Don't forget to check out the new Bumble Bee Cutie digi and Sparkler Owl! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

I Sea it's your Birthday!!

I've created this under the sea porthole card for my brother-in-law's birthday using Sting Ray Kids.  It's hard to tell from the photo, but there is clear acetate in front of the image to really give it that feeling that your looking through glass.  The porthole is popped up with dimensionals to give it depth.

If you'd like more details on this card, please check out my blog

And don't forget to check the 2 Cute Rubber Stamps Store for 2 new digitals stamps that have just been released.  They are ADORABLE!!!

See you next week!

Better Late Than...

Good afternoon everyone,
Have you ever had one of those days where everything that possibly could go wrong, does? Welcome to my Monday!LOL I was finally able to get my computer to co-operate with me and load up my latest card...

I colored in the little fella with a Dove Blender pen and shimmer chalks. It's hard to tell with this photo, but because the chalks have a shine to them, he looks like he is covered in glitter!
I also used Coredinations cardstock and my Cuttlebug folders. What I like about this type of cardsock is that the core is a lighter color, so that when you emboss then sand the paper, the core color comes through and really makes the embossing pop!
Then finally, the saying is from an old stamp set from SugarLand. It contains fun, single words, just to use when you need a little something extra.
Please enjoy the card and don't forget to check out Heidi's blog tomorrow for another Tuesday Digi release!

Saturday Send Off Card

Well, our vacation is coming to a close. Its time to pack up and head back home. So I created this little card with that in mind. This little image is a sweet little one, Furry Friends. I liked it because of its little friendly smiles and the fact that these little guys looked packed up and ready to go. Kind of like my little tykes...all smiles from their fantastic trip and soooo, ready to go home.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend filled with smiles and splendid memories of your own.

Hello all! Can you believe it is Saturday already? I'm so worn out, we've been on the road for two days with my three girls. We finally made it to Orlando and guess what? It is supposed to rain ALL WEEK LONG!!! Oh, joy for us! LOL!

Our first trip to Disney World and we are going to get thunderstorms, so it seems a little ironic that my card says "Sending you sunshine"...oh well, my intentions were good.
