It's been sweet...

Today is my last post for the 2 Cute Design Team. It's been sweet, meeting new blog friends and playing with all the cute images! I hope you all continue to find fabulous inspiration here, using all the adorable 2 Cute images! I wanted to use the Penguin Fun image today because it reminds me of summer... it's coming up quickly! In my neck of the woods (Louisville, KY), it's going to be a great day for ice cream- sunny and 80 degrees! As we watch the Oaks Day races! :)

Anyway, so long... may creative inspiration find you!

Owl Appreciation

Next week is teacher appreciation week at my little guys elementary school. I made this card for Mac to write a message in and then stick a gift card inside as a little appreciation gift. I thought it turned out cute, but when you stick an owl on something, doesn't it "owlways" look cute? He-he! The card is 5.5 inches square and the label die cut is from tracing the packaging of some Jenni Bowlin buttons on patterned paper and cutting out. The owl typically has a flower, but I tend to cut it off, sometimes on purpose and sometimes it happens by accident! I colored in the owl using Copics and threaded a couple different pieces of twine through my chipboard button. The alphabet paper is a small strip of Sassafrass and I finished it off with a "thank you" stamp from Hero Arts.

If you could only have one 2 Cute stamp, which would it be? I would definitely pick this one. It's so versatile, and with the flower, you can take it or leave it! Two styles in one! I have used this one the most, and I love the outcome every time! Go grab your stamps or digis and start creating!

Have a great day!

Spring Chickie!

Happy Friday, my crafty friends! It's your frazzled, Friday hostess, Amanda. Easter is Sunday, are you ready? I'm not quite there, but I did make a super cute Easter card to share with you today!
Heidi has come up with a brand new design... an adorable hatching chick... one with decorated eggs and one without. You can find them on Heidi's blog HERE and in her Etsy shop HERE.

Supplies: 2 Cute Chickie with decorated eggs; Paper: Paper-Source; Ribbon: May Arts; Copics, Circle Punch: Marvy; Decorative Edge Scissors: Fiskars; Other: ink, buttons, thread, font: CK Journaling.

I really love this image- 2 Cute! It was super fun to color too- I even printed one out for Anna (my 5 year old) so she could color it and make her own card.

I hope you have a blessed Easter and a wonderful weekend!

FREE = FUN!

Hi there, friends! It's Amanda with you again today, and I thought I'd carry over this cute free bunny image into today to help inspire you! This darling little bunny digi image is FREE! Yes, free, people! You can click here to get it. Once you download the image, print it out, create something, (we aren't picky!) and let us know so we can check it out 'cause there is a challenge goin' on and you could win! Supplies: FREE bunny digi image from 2 Cute; Patterned Paper: American Crafts (Dear Lizzy line); Ribbon: Michael's; Punches: Circle and Scallop, Marvy; Other: Copics, buttons, thread, and adhesive half pearl.
This was an easy card to make! Rather than tying a pretty bow, which I love, but it tends to make the card too bulky to mail, I just cut a small piece and cinched it with thread and then attached my button. It's much flatter that way and is mailable!
Hop to it... let's see what you can make with this cute image!

All Dogs Go to Heaven...

Happy Friday! It's Amanda here with you today to share a little sympathy card.

This week, I chose to work with the Doggie Angel Digi. If you have ever had a friend or family member lose a beloved pet, then you know how daunting and difficult it is to find the perfect card to send. I think this digi works beautifully with the sentiment...

The inside reads, "So sorry for your loss..."

Supplies: Cardstock: light blue and white from stash; Patterned Paper: American Crafts; Doggie Angel Digi: 2 Cute Rubber Stamps; Other: foam tape, Cuttlebug embossing folder, button, and Copic markers (colors below).
Personally, I think this would be a great stamp to have on hand for occasions like sympathy, thank you,"your an angel" and also might be cute for a new baby, "sent from heaven". What do you think?
Have a great weekend...

Dreaming Ladybugs...

Happy Friday!
Valentine's Day is coming up on Sunday, so I wanted to do a sweet card to share for today! I chose the sleepy ladybug stamp and used the digital image twice, reversing one of the two so they were facing each other. I love the sentiment, "I sleep with a smile because I see you in my dreams..." A closer look...
The card base is actually a medium grey, but shows up quite dark on the picture. The heart and pink/red plaid paper are from Little Yellow Bicycle. I had some red and white polka dot paper in my stash that I cut and pleated and secured buttons on the ends. Top corners are rounded and edges are inked in charcoal. I used Copics to color and the sentiment is in Papyrus font.
Visit 2Cutes Etsy shop to get your rubber, cling, or digi images today! Start creating... you only have a couple days to make your sweetie a card! Happy crafting!

To the Moon and Back!

I had so much fun making this rocket ship card! I typically get into a creative rut or block when I need to make a "boy" card, but this came to me quite easy and naturally! I love the simple design of the stamp and how you can use it in so many ways. I made this one for my 6 year old, Mac, for Valentine's Day. The inside message reads: "To the Moon and Back!"

Supplies: Stamps:Rocket: Up, up and Away!, Sentiment: Papertrey Ink; Cardstock: Neenah; Other: Chipboard Stars, Copic Markers, Brilliance Silver Ink, Small Silver Brads, Cuttlebug Swiss Dot Folder, foam tape. Card measures 5.25 inches square.
I used the bottom of my marker tin to trace a circle. I cut it out and ran it through my Cuttlebug. Once it was attached to the card, I trimmed the two edges. The chipboard stars were simply pressed into silver ink and they actually came out with a nice texture. I colored in the rocket ship and cut it out, added silver brads, then attached with foam tape. Stamped the sentiment, and ta-dah! A cute little card for a very special little boy!
Have a fantastic weekend! I hope you find creative inspiration and get to make a thing or two!
Happy Crafting,

You Whooo!

You whooo! It's me, Amanda (aka: Crafty Paper Girl) and my post day here at 2 Cute is every Friday- to get you moving into the weekend with an inspirational creative kick!

It's no secret that I love owls... they are so versatile, vintage and cute, so when I saw this image on Heidi's list, I immediately snagged it and started creating! This little cutie actually has a flower attached, but I cut it off to coordinate better with the papers I wanted to use. The inside message reads: "Owl always be there for you."

Supplies: Stamp: Owl Miss You; Patterned Papers: Sassafrass and Cosmo Cricket; Color Medium: Copics; Other: red twine
I hope you signed up to follow this blogaroo already, but if you didn't, what are you waiting for? Heidi is giving away a free Wooden Stamp to one of her followers next week! Have a happy, crafty weekend!
Hugs,
Amanda
