Furry Friends Like to Read!

Hi everyone! Happy almost-Valentine's Day :) It's Taylor here, and this week I'm sharing with you a super simple project that is part of my four-year-old daughter's Valentine's Day present. It's a cute, colorful bookmark I made using the Furry Friends stamp!

Since this stamp is available as a digi image as well as cling cushion and wood-mounted, I chose to print it out so it would make a larger focal point. I used Copic markers to color the cat, dog, and box they are sitting in. I added small flowers to the box using a Copic Spica glitter pen in green. For the sweet puppy's collar I used a pink one - every little girl loves some sparkle!

I know this is an easy-peasy sample today but I really like it. My munchkin loves to read and steals my bookmarks all the time so I know this will be a well received "extra" alongside her candy and art supplies Cupid is bringing her!

Don't forget: to buy stamps from the Etsy shop, go here. Exclusive digi stamps are available for purchase on Heidi's blog here. And don't forget to leave her comments about what sketches you love - she may just turn them into a stamp for you!

Materials:

  • Cardstock/Paper: Green Galore, Naturals White, Pixie Pink
  • Stamps: Furry Friends
  • Ink: printer
  • Tools & Accessories: ribbon, jumbo eyelet, nesties, copics, martha stewart edge punch

Dreaming Ladybugs...

Happy Friday!
Valentine's Day is coming up on Sunday, so I wanted to do a sweet card to share for today! I chose the sleepy ladybug stamp and used the digital image twice, reversing one of the two so they were facing each other. I love the sentiment, "I sleep with a smile because I see you in my dreams..." A closer look...
The card base is actually a medium grey, but shows up quite dark on the picture. The heart and pink/red plaid paper are from Little Yellow Bicycle. I had some red and white polka dot paper in my stash that I cut and pleated and secured buttons on the ends. Top corners are rounded and edges are inked in charcoal. I used Copics to color and the sentiment is in Papyrus font.
Visit 2Cutes Etsy shop to get your rubber, cling, or digi images today! Start creating... you only have a couple days to make your sweetie a card! Happy crafting!

Happy Cat

Hello everyone, it's Juanita again with your Wednesday post. Did you know we have a giveaway going on right now? If not I suggest you check it out here.

I colored this adorable image to go with this DP. Isn't this cat so cute with the yarn in his mouth? I realizes after I colored in the image that I didn't have many orange embellishments so I kept this card simple. I did have some orange bling but this kitty wasn't feeling the bling so I opted for clear Dew Drops. I chose this sentiment because that what I feel when I see this image. Thanks for stopping by today!

Be sure to check out Heidi's Blog, she has exclusive digi's that will only be available there. She also post new sketches for you to rate whether they should be made into a stamp or not. Also be sure to come back tomorrow to see what Heather has created for us.
