Think Happy Thoughts

Happy Wednesday!  Has it really been a whole week already since I posted here?  Winter is getting closer and closer and this little cutie seemed like a great image to use this week!  I want to learn to knit again this winter!  It's been a very long time since I've held a pair of knitting needles in my hands.  I think just the thought of knitting makes me feel warmer!  :)  This is Cat-Knit, an adorable kitty who probably likes to play with the yarn more than use the knitting needles!  I used the digital stamp, but it is also available as a cling cushion rubber stamp here.  I colored the main image with Copic markers and cut around it using my Nestabilities.  You can find more details on my blog.

Enjoy your day!

Sew fabulous!

Hi everyone! welcome to another inspirational Friday, today is my turn to inspire you with my creation.
This is my first post as a 2 Cute DT member so I need to introduce myself before describing the cards. My name is Ileana, I live in Madrid (Spain) and I have a wonderful and supportive family. I discovered the digi world at the end of 2010 and I jumped into blog land this last January (my blog here), so I´m pretty new to all this and I´m loving every minute! I´ve been crafting all my life thanks to my mom but I started making cards four years ago, it all begun as a self imposed therapy and I got completely hooked by it! Soooo... enough of rambling about myself! let´s jump into the fun part.

For this first post I made two cards with different colors schemes: boy and girl maybe? I chose this overly cute Cat-knit, printed it out twice on white paper, I colored them with crayons and oil pastels and blended them with mineral oil.
here is a closer view (click the image to enlarge). Do you want to know how I made the yarn? I hope so!! I used white puff paint (the one I have is fabric puff paint but any kind will work great too!) to draw the threads, let it dry and puff it with iron steam, once it was all puffy and pretty I gave them color with chalks. I took black paint and retrace the kitty arm to bring it to the front again. To finish the images I glued a piece of green or pink embroidery floss, cut and place them with foam tape on the cards.
The sentiment is from TLC creations that I printed out on craft paper and the finishing touches are flowers made out of scraps of paper, ribbon, left over buttons, brads... you can use whatever you have at hand! The green patterned paper is an oldie from my stash and the pink paper is wrap paper I saved because I liked the pattern a lot.
I hope I´d inspired you with this two cards. I´ll see you all next week, have a wonderful Friday!

PS: and don´t forget to stop by for daily fun and inspiration!

2 Cute Tuesday: Cat-Knit

Hi everyone! Ann here :)

I hope that everyone's Valentine's Day weekend went well! Also, make sure to stay tuned because we have some exciting things coming your way like the start of the 2 Cute Rubber Stamps Challenges!  Don't forget to come back every day :)

Happy Cat

Hello everyone, it's Juanita again with your Wednesday post. Did you know we have a giveaway going on right now? If not I suggest you check it out here.

I colored this adorable image to go with this DP. Isn't this cat so cute with the yarn in his mouth? I realizes after I colored in the image that I didn't have many orange embellishments so I kept this card simple. I did have some orange bling but this kitty wasn't feeling the bling so I opted for clear Dew Drops. I chose this sentiment because that what I feel when I see this image. Thanks for stopping by today!

Be sure to check out Heidi's Blog, she has exclusive digi's that will only be available there. She also post new sketches for you to rate whether they should be made into a stamp or not. Also be sure to come back tomorrow to see what Heather has created for us.

Supplies:

My Little Yarn Kitty

Hi there everyone! It's Taylor here, and Saturday is my day to post a card on the 2 Cute Rubber Stamps blog. I'm really looking forward to sharing a new project with you every week!

This week my card is cute and simple. I used darker cardstock colors to help the ultra-busy Basic Grey dp stand out. I handstitched the two pieces of dp together and then handstitched those two pieces to the orange cardstock. I also added two small "x" shaped stitches to my scalloped frame for the sweet little kitty.

My kitty is colored with Copics and I just think he is the sweetest image! His name is actually Cat-Knit and guess what? He, along with the other images by 2 Cute Rubber Stamps, are available in cling cushion AND digi now! How great is that? Check them out at the store.

Also, don't forget to sign up as a follower for this blog - you'll be entered to win a free stamp next week! This weekend is your last chance to enter :) The free stamp is a *wooden* one - the Turtle Sundae image! Soooo cute!
