Owl Be Seeing You...

Well, friends, this is my last post here at 2 Cute Rubber Stamps. I've really enjoyed my time here with you all. Heidi is wonderful and her designs are so adorable. Each of the DT members are extremely talented and very supportive. Sammye Jo and I worked together prior to this and all I can say about Sammye Jo is that she is one of the sweetest, most dedicated crafty friends a girl could have. Her chipper demeanor and her love of this craft make working with her a joy. I wish all of them the very best in all things to come and much success for the blog and Heidi's creations.

Happy Saturday 2 Cute followers, Gwen here. I hope the weekend is treating well so far. I know we've been super busy the past couple of days. My niece, Jenna, is up from Florida. She spent the night Thursday night and again last night. There has been a lot to catch
up on as she is seven years old and we haven't seen her since last summer.

We were talking about some of her favorite things and she said she loves owls. When I picked my image from 2 Cute Rubber Stamps I chose one that would be good for her. This adorable little owl that Heidi designed. I girled it up a bit for Jenna so it would appeal to her more.
We all really like it and I hope you do too.

A 2 Cute Mother's Day!!

Hi Everyone! I'm Wendy, one of the newest 2 Cute DT members.  Look for a new project from me every Thursday!  :)

I've used Owl Miss You for my Mother's Day card. I just love this image and I've noticed that most of our DT does too! (Crystal used it Tuesday) It's a favorite because it's just so perfect for any occasion. I've used the digi version of Owl Miss You and flipped the image so that the flower would be to left of the owl instead of the right. It suited my sketch better that way; which is one of the coolest things about using digi images. You can manipulate them to fit YOUR needs. Need it larger? smaller? No Problem!! Not a digi fan like me? That's okay because 2 Cute offers their images 3 ways...Cling Mount, Wood Mount, and Digital. How AWESOME is that!?!? I also wanted to share a quick tip on using your Copic markers - I didn't have a flower in the color that I needed for my card, so I used my Copic marker.  It went from Ivory to Rose Pink in 2 seconds flat.

Owl Appreciation

Next week is teacher appreciation week at my little guys elementary school. I made this card for Mac to write a message in and then stick a gift card inside as a little appreciation gift. I thought it turned out cute, but when you stick an owl on something, doesn't it "owlways" look cute? He-he! The card is 5.5 inches square and the label die cut is from tracing the packaging of some Jenni Bowlin buttons on patterned paper and cutting out. The owl typically has a flower, but I tend to cut it off, sometimes on purpose and sometimes it happens by accident! I colored in the owl using Copics and threaded a couple different pieces of twine through my chipboard button. The alphabet paper is a small strip of Sassafrass and I finished it off with a "thank you" stamp from Hero Arts.

If you could only have one 2 Cute stamp, which would it be? I would definitely pick this one. It's so versatile, and with the flower, you can take it or leave it! Two styles in one! I have used this one the most, and I love the outcome every time! Go grab your stamps or digis and start creating!

Thankful Owl Mini Pizza Box Tutorial

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today I have decided to show you a Mini Pizza Box and make my first attempt at a tutorial. For this project I used Owl Miss You, did you know you could get this image in cling cushion, digi, and/or wood mount here? Check it out :).

On to the tutorial. You start with a 6"x11" piece of card stock. I used my Scor-Pal to score at the 1", 5", 6" and 10" on the 11" side of the paper.

I then turned the paper to the 6" side and scored at the 1" and 5".

I then cut the tabs along the 11" sides, be sure to not cut past the score line. Sample below.

Fold and glue down tabs.

Here is the Mini Pizza Box ready to be embellished.

And here is my final product. What do you think?

I wanted to put chocolates or tea light candles in my box but I didn't have either. I know, how could I not have chocolate, lol. I found these Lifesavers that fit perfectly.

You Whooo!

You whooo! It's me, Amanda (aka: Crafty Paper Girl) and my post day here at 2 Cute is every Friday- to get you moving into the weekend with an inspirational creative kick!

It's no secret that I love owls... they are so versatile, vintage and cute, so when I saw this image on Heidi's list, I immediately snagged it and started creating! This little cutie actually has a flower attached, but I cut it off to coordinate better with the papers I wanted to use. The inside message reads: "Owl always be there for you."
