Sunday Inspiration

Hi there!  I've been absent for a little while with my internet being down and getting the flu, but I'm SO happy to be back!  I used the super adorable Mermaid and Friends image, which I colored with my Copic markers.  For a fun background, I punched a whole bunch of circles from my blue and turquoise scraps, then layered them on a piece of cardstock, and snipped off any overhanging circles.  It was fast, easy, and a great way to use up my scraps!  My hope is that it looks like the mermaid's scales!  :)

I hope you all have a great Sunday and don't forget Heidi's having a 40% off sale that ends today!  Enter coupon code FALLSALE when you check out.  Happy shopping!

Have a FIN-tastic Day!!

It was so fun making a girly card after making so many manly Father's Day cards for over a week.  Today, I got to play with bright fun summer colors and things that sparkle!!!

Isn't this little mermaid just adorable!?!?  Have you noticed how hot Mermaids are right now in the stamp world.  Everywhere I look I see mermaids and we at 2 Cute have our own....
She's available wood mounted, cling mounted or digital.  Summer is in full swing, so it's the perfect time to create a card or project with this sweet little mermaid.

If you'd like more details on this card, please stop over at my blog HERE!!
Enjoy your week, and be sure to stop by again to see what other wonderful creations the DT girls have for you!!

Make a Wish

Good morning everyone,
It's Monday morning so that means another creation from Jodie. Here is the latest card I made using the Mermaids & Friends digi stamp. Also don't forget to download your free Hamster and Hula Hoop stamp to join in the challenge.

I used my Copic makers to color in the image, also using Coredinations cardstock. Also, don't forget you can use your Copic markers on more than just paper. The ribbon on the card was originally white, but I colored it with the marker I used for the image so that everything would co-ordinate.
Take care - Jodie

Tutorial-Digi Image on a T-Shirt

Happy Monday!

Jennifer here to show you a great tutorial on how to get your favorite digi images onto a T-Shirt. This Mermaid and Friends image is a new digital-only version that Heidi is making available only on her blog. Go and check out all of the wonderful Digi's she has there.

I start by opening the image up in Photoshop (I am using Photoshop CS4 for all of this work, use whatever editing software you have). Size it to the size you want printed.

I am using the paint bucket tool to color in my image.

Here she is all colored in! I added some shadows in where I thought it need it.
Also you can see (below) I added a blue background.

Next what you'll need to do is flip the image. You can do this in the editing software, or when you print it, choose t-shirt or reverse in the settings.

Here is the transfer paper I use. (you can get it at any Office Supply store)

Here she is all printed out and trimmed. You'll need trim the excess paper, because you will see it when it gets ironed on the shirt. So I trimmed it in a nice shape that works well with the image.

Here are the instructions for ironing it that are on the back of the transfer paper I use.

Back and fourth pressing down for 3 minutes.

After you iron the whole thing wait for it to be COMPLETELY COOLED before you take the backing paper off of the image.

Here she is all ironed on the shirt

Here is the final T-Shirt!
I made this for my niece Madeline, I hope she loves it as much as I do.

Recipe-
Computer, HP Iron on T-Shirt Transfers (or which ever brand you like)
Iron set on High-No Water, and Fun Fringe (I sewed this on by hand)

Now is a good time to remind you on the "rules" for digi images.
